Black History Month 2022
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history over the month of February. In honor of Black History Month, we worked with Kizmet Wallace, a black small business owner & designer, and Team JL ambassador, Maurice Scott, to design this year's Black History Month Collection.
Austin Rowing Club's 2022 Silent Auction
Austin Rowing Club will be holding a silent auction in January, which will help support the club's operations in providing recreational, competitive, and community outreach programs for a variety of water sports, ages, and abilities. ARC is currently seeking auction item donations. If you are able to donate a physical item, product or service please fill out the form on the auction website.
Rowers For Change 2021 - A STEM to Stern Fundraiser
The STEM to Stern program, which JL Racing proudly partners with, is holding a fundraiser that began September 15, and will run through the Head of the Charles Regatta. The Rowers For Change 2021 fundraiser will support the work that STEM to Stern is doing for kids across the United States so they are able to participate in youth rowing, STEM education and swimming.
Flooding From Hurricane Ida - How You Can Help
As the storm that was Hurricane Ida made it's way through the southeast and east, it brought major flooding to Louisiana and the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Row for the Cure | Together We Thrive!
Founded in 1993, Row for the Cure is the rowing and water-sports community’s crusade against cancer, raising funds through a series of events, regattas and virtual challenges across the U.S. As a grant- making organization, Row for the Cure distributes funds to community cancer organizations which support local cancer patients and their families, rowing organizations which empower cancer survivors and to cutting-edge research conducted by Susan G. Komen.
She Will Win
Gender gaps within all sports continue to linger. Such gaps include difference in pay, participation and media viewership amongst female athletes. However, at She Will Win, they have chosen to take an action based approach instead of dwelling on histories of the past. Join She Will Win, as they strive to get more women in boats - from youth to the professional level.

JL Racing is proud to announce our partnership with STEM to Stern! Through this collaboration we will help promote diversity and inclusion in rowing programs everywhere. JL looks forward to helping support lower-income rowing athletes and organizations with essential training and racing gear.

Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history. Join us in celebrating Black History Month 2021 with these unique performance apparel designs and let us promote diversity in our favorite sport!
Rowing in Color: Pre-Order Store
JL Racing teamed up with Denise and Patricia to create rowing specific apparel with creative designs to get the word out about diversity in the sport. The cherry on top is a portion of net sales from this store will be donated to rowing organizations working toward a better future in our beloved sport. The store closes on November 30th so be sure to check it out!
STEM to Stern
STEM to Stern helps rowing teams become more diverse and competitive by eliminating barriers that many communities face, rowing teams can draw from a larger pool of athletes and create a diverse and inclusive environment at their clubs. Clubs are able to use rowing to build relationships among students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to interact or compete together.

"Helping My Coach Rebuild"- Dameon's Fire Relief Campaign
UC San Diego rowers reached out to ask for help promoting a GoFundMe campaign to help their assistant coach, Dameon Engblom, the assistant coach for the UCSD Men's Rowing team. He unfortunately just lost his family home, beloved pick-up truck, and the majority of his bikes and bike workshop in Oregon due to the devastating wildfires. Dameon has coached at many other successful programs including the University of Pennsylvania and Oregon State. Needless to say he is one of us and part of our rowing community.
