As the storm that was Hurricane Ida made it's way through the southeast and east, it brought major flooding to Louisiana and the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. The flooding caused untold damage to many boathouses located in Ida's path, including New Orleans and boathouse row, where historic boathouses line the Schuylkill River.

Boathouse row is home to multiple rowing clubs, and is widely known for hosting regattas such as the Dad Vail Regatta. This special place is a huge part of our rowing community and our thoughts are with the clubs who are still discovering the extent of the damage caused by the flooding.

We would like to help bring the rowing community together to support the clubs affected by the flooding. Here are direct links to donate to Boathouse Row clubs, as well as other rowing clubs affected by Hurricane Ida:

New Orleans Rowing Club

Penn AC Rowing Association

Philadelphia Girls Rowing Club

Undine Barge Club

Vesper Boat Club

Whitemarsh Boat Club

If your rowing club was affected by the flooding from Hurricane Ida and you have a link to donate, please share it with us so we can include it on this blog post. We will continue to update the links as we receive them.
