Update From Us At JL Racing

It’s no mystery that the whirlwind of the COVID-19 pandemic has scourged our community and small businesses over the past weeks. The onslaught of event cancellations and school closings has impacted the heart of JL racing, for our community, customers and employees. 

All small businesses right now are feeling the impact of the pandemic, facing tough decisions about how they are operating and will continue to operate while everything continues to be shut down. Over the past two weeks, we have had to make painstaking decisions on some layoffs, furloughs, and pay cuts to our JL family, and it has been the toughest thing we have had to do. In a small business, people aren’t just staff, they are our friends, our family. However, these actions have allowed us to secure the stability of our company and be able to serve our community now and in the future.

While it has been a difficult time and will continue to be, our crew is persevering and continuing to go above and beyond customer expectations. We are committed to serving our business with a short term limited staff and capacity, as well as servicing orders for our online store. Thank you for all of you who continue to purchase through our site, this is helping to keep us running every day.

We are also acting in every way we can to help in the cause of defeating this virus and keep our loved ones safe.  In the last few weeks we have been repurposing our factory to add to the dwindling supply chain of PPE products. Specifically, we have repurposed a large amount of materials and donated as many resources as we can to build reusable masks and gowns. Our on-hand mask capacity is a million units and we are now in production of gear for front line workers and are being certified as an essential business and manufacturer. We are thankful for everyone who has provided contact information for those in need, and we welcome any more referrals with this link. We have received many requests, so we thank you for your patience as we get back to you.

Lastly, we know you are all impacted by this pandemic in one way or another, and we thank you all for your continued support during a time when we know you are dealing with your own struggles. We look forward to a time where we can all be together again, but until then, stay safe, stay home, stay healthy.
