Black History Month 2025 Pre-Order Store

Black History Month is an annual celebration honoring the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout U.S. history. This February, we are proud to announce a special collaboration with Team JL Ambassador, Maurice Scott. Join us in celebrating diversity and excellence in our sport with these exclusive performance apparel designs. Together, let's commemorate and amplify the voices that have shaped our history and continue to inspire us today.

As the designer of this year's Black History Month collection, Maurice Scott has selected Unity Boat Club as the recipient of our donation. 10% of net sales from this pre-order store will be donated to Unity Boat Club. 

Unity Boat Club is driven by their passion for rowing and their commitment to providing diverse communities with opportunities for excellence in the sport. Their values of unity, inclusion, and empowerment guide everything they do. They are dedicated to offering both recreational and competitive rowing programs, fostering a supportive environment for all members, and promoting the overall well-being of their community. Unity Boat Club includes Masters, Youth, Military & Adaptive Rowing Programs to join together as one "Unity Community"!

"Adinkrahene, 'the chief of the Adinkra symbols," which can be compared to what is known today as concentric circles, were designed by the Akan people of Gyaman which is now Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana, West Africa. Adinkrahene is a symbol of greatness, charisma, and leadership.

The Gold represents a culture of wealth, purity and enlightenment. 

The Blue represents water and how black people have had to adapt and be fluid with everything thrown our way. It represents the power that we have within and our power to fight for what is right. And lastly, the Blue represents necessity. Just like the world needs water to survive, it’s needed the contributions of black people for the advancement of the human race. 

The Black represents the people, the community, and unity. 

And to cap it off, a quote derived from Olympic Champion, Wilma Rudolph, 'Greatness lives within each of us,' which speaks for itself.

I want individuals, no matter who you are, to feel great and proud wearing each piece. I want you to feel like you can pull the world away from you after each stroke. I want you to feel like a super hero standing strong. I want those who wear these unisuits to feel the 'greatness within each of us.'

All custom garments are made to order from scratch (custom team wear is not pre-made or held in stock). Our current production time is approximately 4-6 weeks, plus delivery.
